Pneumatic Shears – SKY Pneumatic Shears – 2SP Pneumatic Shears
Motocompressor
If the shear leaks air
Without lifting the lever: check the seal of the supply connection and, if necessary, replace the gasket. Lift the lever: replace the gasket on the control pin.
If the shear is not powerful enough
Check that the pressure is at 8/10 bar. Check that the blade pin is not too tight. Check that the secateur is lubricated with 1 drop of oil every 10/15 seconds.
If the shear does not start
Check that the compressor is working. Check that there is the right pressure on the pressure gauge. Lower the safety lever. Check that the tube is not blocked or obstructed.
Start
How do I start up the Lisam Pneumatic Shears?
To start up the Lisam secateurs, the pressure gauge must first be set at 10 bar. Then check the lubricator by dosing the oil. For correct functioning and maintenance of your secateurs, it is important to use only 10 Grade Engler oil. Finally, the secateurs must be connected to the compressed air supply, checking that the automatic safety device is inserted.
To maintain the chain
How do I maintain the chain?
The chain should be sharpened with the file supplied and must be kept in the bar. After having tightened the chain with the chain adjuster, file it horizontally from the inside toward the outside of the tooth.
To assemble the bar/chain
How do I assemble the bar/chain?
The SKY can be started only once the bar or chain have been assembled. To assemble or regulate the bar or the chain, protective gloves must be worn. Then follow these steps: first of all, check that the pneumatic supply line is disconnected; remove the side cover by loosening the screws, unscrewing the nuts, and removing the washers. Then insert the bar into the stud and push it towards the pinion. The chain must be inserted into the groove of the bar with the cutting edges oriented forward toward the tip of the bar. Fit the chain perfectly onto the bar. Finally, tighten the nuts securely, using only the wrenches supplied.
To lubricate the chain
How do I lubricate the chain?
The chain is lubricated by the compressor. Air passes through the lubricator and oil is distributed on it (and can be regulated), before passing into the bar of the chain, lubricating it. One drop every 3/4 of a second is distributed.
To assemble the rod
How do I assemble the Sky saw on the rod?
The Sky saw was conceived to prune the highest branches and for this reason can be used only when it is assembled on a rod at least 1250 mm long. To assemble the saw on the rod correctly, the motor must be turned off and disconnected from the compressor. The saw must be inserted into the rod connector by pressing and rotating at the same time until the two slots on the rod are blocked. Once blocked, the harpoon of the saw must be aligned with the grip.
To maintain the bar
How do I maintain the bar?
To maintain the bar, the groove and holes where the oil passes must be cleaned by overturning the bar and removing any drippings or nicks with a file.

How does the chain brake work?
The chain brake is an important device on the 2SP pneumatic saw and is activated in case of kickback during cutting, blocking the chain. Naturally, the cut must be carried out with the required protective devices and always while holding the grip with both hands. It is possible to test the correct functioning of the chain brake: the brake is disabled when the hand guard is pulled back, and enabled with the hand guard is pushed ahead and blocked.
Oil change
How do I replace or add oil?
The 2SP saw comes equipped with a tank for chain oil that allows the operator to visually check the oil level. When the oil reaches about 10%, it is advisable to add oil. To lubricate the chain, use the control lever on the grip: in this way, with each cut a drop of oil is distributed. If the cut is large, it is advisable to activate the level several times to increase the lubrication. Use only mid viscosity lubricant oils for chains. The tank capacity is 10 cm3.

The chain should be sharpened with the file supplied and must be kept in the bar. After having tightened the chain with the chain adjuster, file it horizontally from the inside toward the outside of the tooth.
Tools
How can I use the compressor with tools?
To use the compressor with tools, you must regulate the pressure according to the tool used: 10 bar for the pneumatic saw and secateurs, 6/8 bar for olive harvesting rakes. If you use a coiler, you must increase the pressure by 1 or 2 bar. The pressure can be regulated with the knob of the lubricator filter group. Remember that, if a tube coiler is used, the barycentre is higher. Avoid putting the air tubes of the tools in contact with the head and motor due to the high temperature.
Transport
How can I transport the compressor?
To transport the compressor out of the workplace, you must remove the tools connected to it, turn off the motor, and empty the tank of air and fuel. Do not tow the compressor with other vehicles.
To maintain the belt
How should I maintain the belt?
The tension of the belt should be checked periodically. This operation must be done when the motor is not running, removing the belt guard, loosening the motor screws, and adjusting the belt-tautening screws. Once inspection has been completed, tighten the screws again and reassemble the guard.
Air vent
How often should I clean the air vent?
The air filter must be cleaned about every 50 working hours and replaced every 200 hours.
Oil change
How often must I change the oil?
Follow the Instruction Manual for the motor very carefully. If you should lose the manual, please contact Lisam.
